This will be special. American singer-songwriter Sarabeth Tucek returned in 2023 after a decade-long intermission with a new name, SBT, and her long-awaited third album, Joan Of All, released worldwide on her own label, Ocean Omen.
After the first single, "The Gift," received heavy play on BBC Radio 6 Music courtesy of Marc Riley, Gideon Coe, and Cerys Matthews, anticipation for the new double album kicked into high gear. The album did not disappoint, hailed by critics and fans alike as a masterwork. She followed up with three full-band tours of the UK, performing the epic Joan Of All in its entirety.
Now, SBT returns to the UK for a very special and intimate series of acoustic shows, spanning her entire catalog—including her classic self-titled debut, the much-beloved second album Get Well Soon, and, of course, the genre-defying Joan Of All.
If you’re not familiar with her work, she has performed with Bill Callahan and The Brian Jonestown Massacre, supported Bob Dylan and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, and (although comparisons can be Bear traps) to us she sounds a little bit like Aldous Harding or Phoebe Bridgers. There's also a fair bit of Cat Power or even Lou Reed in her attitude and delivery.
She will be joined on stage by guitarist and long-time collaborator Luther Russell.
